An avant-garde method of oak-aging the Spice Tree meant that it was briefly discontinued with a slap on the wrist for the Compass Box guys from the SWA - but, after developing a new, hybrid oak cask that allowed Distillers to achieve similar results, the Spice Tree was resurrected!
The hybrid oak cask uses French oak for the heads and American oak for the bodies - leading to a rich, intense malt whisky that bursts with sweet baking spices like clove, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla, and toasty accents. The palette is full, round and sweet, with a tantalising long finish.
