Rob Roy

This cocktail was created by a bartender at New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel in 1894, and named after ‘Rob Roy’ a Broadway show which premiered at the time. The recipe is very similar to a Sweet Manhattan except the Bourbon is replaced with Scotch.

In a similar manner to a Manhattan, it can be served:

Perfect - Made with equal parts Dry and Sweet Vermouth

Sweet - Dry Vermouth is substituted by Sweet Vermouth

Dry - Sweet Vermouth is substituted by Dry Vermouth

The standard Rob Roy is served sweet.
