Products from 1800 Tequila
Although banned in Mexico until 1795, shortly afterwards tequila production recommenced and 1800 is widely recognised as the year tequila was first aged in oak casks, hence the 1800 Tequila branding. The bottle for 1800 Tequila is also a salute the history of Mexico, its iconic trapezoidal shape similar to the ancient Mayan stone pyramids that litter the country.
Bottled in the Jalisco region of Mexico by the Beckmann family, also owners of the Jose Cuervo brand, 1800 Tequila is made from pure, 100% blue agave grown on the family ranches. Double distilled it is then matured in French and American oak barrels for superior drinkability.
