Punch of the Week – Cointreau and Champagne Punch

Throughout the month of July The Barman will be sharing summer punch ideas - just in time for the long overdue heat wave.  

This week’s SFTW prize was Cointreau; The Barman will be mixing it with fruit, Champagne and Brandy to create a truly sweet and refreshing summer punch.


2.5 measures Cointreau

2.5 measures Three Barrels VSOP Brandy

1.5 measures Giffard Gomme Syrup

1 and a half bottles Champagne 

1 orange sliced

1 lemon sliced

8 whole strawberries sliced

Crushed ice


In a large punch bowl mix Cointreau, Brandy, syrup, Champagne.

Add the ice, orange, lemon and strawberry slices.

Serve and enjoy.

FYI: This recipe serves six people. 

The Cointreau adds a lot of depth to the punch with sweet, zesty oranges with undertones of lemon and nutmeg. The citrus allows a fresh and fruity taste which is paired off nicely with the champagne. A fantastic punch that would be ideal for any summer celebration or BBQ.
