A lighter, sweeter, more balanced version of the traditional margarita, the Tommy's was originally created in 1990 at Tommy's in San Francisco. Juilio Bermejo was experimenting using agave nectar instead of triple sec, which adds another dimension to the lime juice; smooths it out and sweetens it and also allows the complexity of the tequila to shine - instead of masking it like the triple sec does.
- 50ml Tequila
- 25ml fresh lime juice
- 12.5ml Agave Nectar
Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a rocks glass with ice. If you enjoy a salt rim, feel free to add one. And enjoy!
