Created in 1963 by London Bartender, Sidney Cox for The British Empire Cocktail Competition (where it took 1st prize, no big deal). It was inspired by the major drama of the time, Edward VIII's abdication to marry his perfect lady, Wallis Simpson.
A riff on the classic White Lady, The Perfect Lady is made a little lighter and fruitier by replacing the triple sec with peach liqueur.
- 60ml London Dry Gin
- 22.5ml peach liqueur
- 22.5ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 15ml egg white
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker and shake with ice. Fine strain into a chilled coupette glass.
