The Rusty Nail combines Drambuie, a liqueur made with Whisky, honey and spices with Scotch Whisky and a zest of lemon. The sweetness of Drambuie counterbalances the smokey bite of the Whisky and I tend to use a blend rather than a single malt in my version.
I especially enjoy a Rusty Nail in the middle of winter in front of a log fire somewhere in the countryside or at the top of a mountain, preferably in Scotland.
How to serve it
