Jenning Cox, an American engineer working in Cuba has been credited with the creation of this cocktail.
A favourite of Ernest Hemingway and John F. Kennedy, and with good reason, there are huge variations of the Daiquiri, but I reckon Joe has nailed it in this video.
Made up of Rum, sugar and lime juice; feel free to use different fruits to give the Daiquiri your own identity.
How to serve it
- In a mixing glass, add all the ingredients.
- Add plenty of ice and shake.
- Fine strain into a Martini glass.
- Garnish with a lime wedge.
