Meet Joanne Moore, the world’s first female Gin Master Distiller (now no longer the only one). Joanne looks after the original, secret recipe for Greenall’s London Dry Gin and is one of only seven custodians of the recipe since 1761. Joanne also created Bloom London Dry Gin, Berkeley Square London Dry Gin and Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin.
WHAT ARE YOU UP TO AT THE MOMENT?
I've just returned from maternity leave with a head full of new ideas to work on our portfolio of Gins which includes the world’s first quality Gin, Greenall’s - the original London Dry Gin.
GET HOME, FEET UP, WHAT'S IN YOUR GLASS?
It depends on what sort of day I've had but I'm quite partial to a Bloom Gin French 75 - Gin and bubbles can brighten up anyone’s mid week!
IF YOU WERE A DRINK WHAT WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?
I'd have to say a Martini - on the surface it may appear uncomplicated but it's a true classic with complexity.
YOU CAN CHOOSE ANYONE TO TAKE A SEAT NEXT TO YOU AT THE BAR - WHO IS IT AND HOW WOULD THE NIGHT GO?
I'd choose to sit next to a comedian like Michael McIntyre or Keith Lemon and we'd drink French 75's, people watch and laugh uncontrollably.
SHAKEN OR STIRRED?
Always shaken - I love to watch the theatrics of cocktails been made.
FINALLY, WHO WOULD YOU RAISE A GLASS TO AND WHY?
To absent family and friends.
