A classic prohibition cocktail, The Bee’s Knees, was originally created to mask the unsavoury flavour of bathtub Gin. Recipes often ask for honey syrup, but to make it easier for you at home all you need is a jar of honey.
2 measures Tanqueray Gin
1/2 a measure of fresh lemon juice
Lemon twist to garnish
HOW TO SERVE IT
Stir in a cocktail shaker a generous teaspoon of honey with a splash of water at room temperature.
Mix until the honey dissolves.
Add Tanqueray Gin and lemon juice.
Fill with ice and shake.
Strain into a Martini glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
The result is a beautifully sweet and succulent cocktail with a refreshing lemon tang – it really is the bee’s knees!
