The most famous celebs are fans in their own right - they love drinks brands so much that they'll loyally promote their adopted brand out of the goodness of their hearts. Although it is rumoured that substantial sums of money might exchange hands on some occasions....
ARMAND DE BRIGNAC 'ACE OF SPADES' CHAMPAGNE
Jay-Z loves it so much he bought the company in 2014. Other fans include Beyoncé, Rihanna, Jamie Foxx, Will Smith and Leonardo DiCaprio. Plus pretty much anyone else famous. The Armand de Brignac House produces exquisite artisanal Champagnes in limited quantities, but we suspect that the appeal to superstars might have something to do with the pretty, blingy metallic bottles, premium price tag and the fact that the bottles are available in huge sizes for maximum club cudos.
James Bond's favourite Champagne. In Live And Let Die (1973), James asks for a bottle of Bollinger as he arrives at a hotel. The brand is also pops up in A View To A Kill (1985), Die Another Day (2002) and Casino Royale (2006). Across all the Bond films, James is portrayed as drinking Bollinger 17 times. Among other famous fans was Queen Victoria and of course the Ab Fab girls who chain-drank 'bolly'.
A big hit in clubs in the US and UK, Belvedere Vodka is a favourite of music stars including Rihanna and Grace Jones. The brand caters for the club and party market by producing various flavours and its pretty bottles come in the larger magnum size, including an illuminating magnum.
Busta Rhymes led the hit single Pass The Courvoisier Part 2, featuring P. Diddy and Pharell Williams in 2002. Not a bad bit of PR for Courvoisier Cognac! Courvoisier was also a favourite of Napoleon Bonaparte, and one of their Cognacs is named after him. It is damn good, especially, of course, the XO Imperial.
P. Diddy led the way in celebs buying the brands they like. He represents Cîroc, promoting it wherever possible (including song lyrics and videos), and is also co-owner along with drinks giant Diageo. P. Diddy and Jay-Z often cross promote each other's endorsed products - note the bottle of Cîroc in Jay-Z's Champagne photo above.
Cîroc is a unique Vodka made with grapes in the Cognac region of France, and comes in various flavours - we love the Cîroc Amaretto - a deliciously clean alternative to too-sweet syrupy amaretto liqueurs.
The most popular Cognac brand among celebrities. R.Kelly, Kanye West, Lil Jon, Ne-Yo and 50 Cent all love it. Try the mid-range Fine de Cognac - it's outstandingly good for the price.
JACK DANIEL'S BOURBON WHISKEY
Frank Sinatra was a big fan of Jack Daniel's, and was rarely seen without a glass of it. If he was throwing a party, he'd hoist a flag above his house with the Jack Daniels logo. He was even buried with a bottle of Jack Daniels in his pocket.
DOM PÉRIGNON CHAMPAGNE
Marylin Monroe, Claudia Schiffer and Paris Hilton among many others mean that DP has a long history of famous fans . It's produced by Moët & Chandon and is named after the Benedictine monk Dom Pérignon who is reported to have discovered the method for producing Champagne. The original Champagne, and only ever produced in vintages.
MOËT & CHANDON CHAMPAGNE
The most drunk Champagne in the world has long been Moët & Chandon. Fashion stars, football players, music, and film stars all of love this Champagne.
Jamie Foxx, Nas and P. Diddy are among the loyal fans of Patrón Tequila. It's one of the best-selling tequilas in the world.
RÉMY MARTIN COGNAC
Rémy's large famous fan base includes Elton John, Christian Dior and many others.
LUC BELAIRE ROSÉ
Rap legend Rick Ross has always been a fan of rosé – so much so that one of his nicknames is 'Ricky Rozay.' When Belaire Sparkling Rosé launched, Rick was apparently drawn to the unique black bottles, and fell in love with the taste. As Ross spread the word the wine was adopted by other Hip Hop celebs and the craze even generated a rapper-based fan group called Black Bottle Boys: https://www.facebook.com/BlackBottleBoys.
Ross has featured the wine in his music videos, drank it at celebrations, and sent it as gifts. In his video Sophisticated So, a bottle of Luc Belaire appears during a meal at the beginning. It does also feature Cîroc throughout as well though.
There's a new illuminating Belaire Rosé bottle, and a Brut (dry white) version has just been launched
Dr. Dre is a big fan of Tanqueray Gin and has his own song Drankin Tanqueray, as well as being named by Snoop Dogg in the song Gin and Juice - "My homey Dr. Dre came through with a gang of Tanqueray". Try Tanqueray No. Ten, made with whole citrus fruit.
